HIC J6 - Poor man's Diamond

 

The other day, I had an opportunity to look at what these Korean mobiles can offer. Was roaming around in Spencer Plaza (Chennai, India), and I could spot 6 - 8 shops selling these low-on-cost high-on-feature mobiles with Nil warranty.

The shop keeper showed me a few other models which had TV and all. But the outer looks, HIC killed me.

The first look at the box in the shelf, you just won't believe it a copy, even if that guy tells you it is. Such well made box and packing. He opened and showed me the phone. HTC looks just the same..thats what I would like to phrase it as.
Switched on the phone, HIC logo just like HTC. The fonts are a bit hazy, wouldn't say they are too clear. But these korean / chinese phone have a lot of problem with rendering english fonts. I really don't understand why.

This phone has bluetooth, no WIFI and all, can carry 2 sim cards and also has a touch interface. Obviously you can't ask for Windows Mobile OS and TouchFlo technology when you are only paying Rs.4600 (approx US $ 100) for a phone which would otherwise cost you Rs.26500 (approx USD 600).

The touch wasn't great but was impressive with a great response. Has an impressive vibrator and a extremely impressive speaker. Display is much more than good, which can actually be compared to any usual Nokia or HTC phone itself.

Overall, a good looking phone. If you have the money, risk taking ability and the patience to learn new stuff..try this.. you might not regret.
