The makers of "Joker" have decided to make the audience as the real Jokers. What could be said of a film that lacks logic, sequence of events and more importantly a story. Over the years, Bollywood has thrown at its audience quite a good amount of nonsense films. However, this Joker beats all and no movie can get any worse than this.
Director Shirish Kunder after Jaan-e-Mann has roped in Akshay Kumar as the lead of this supposedly comic film. Unfortunately for Akshay, this happens to be his landmark 100th film. Landmark films prove to be disasters for most actors and Akshay hasn't escaped that myth. The way in which the film unfolds over a period of 105 minutes, looks like the distributors will not even recover 1/10th of their investment.
Akshay returns to his village Paglapur to visit his ailing father. Paglapur doesn't have any mention of its existence in India map. The village doesn't have power or water connection. And to make matters worse, director had forgotten to have any female occupants in the village. Sonakshi Sinha who comes in as Akshay's girlfriend is the only girl in the village... Bad isn't it? The reality is that the film is even more bad.
Akshay to gather attention to this villager tries some cheap stunt which turns out to be a mixed bag. He along with the other supporting cast has tried to put together few "so called" jokes and some sequence of events to move this film along. Chitrangada's sizzling item number does bring in life to the otherwise bored viewer.
Akshay acts plain. Sonakshi has nothing to offer other than a couple of hip shaking performances. Shreyas Talpade has displayed some skills as an actor. Minisha Lamba as the innocent press reporter fails to bring in any life to the movie.
"Joker" is a disastrous attempt which can be given a miss at the theatre.

Slowly movies are becoming so bad that people don't feel like going to the cinemas..
